Update from Wauwatosa School District 3/20

Spring Break: During Spring Break, teachers and staff will not be responding to phone calls or emails. We encourage everyone in our WSD family to take time to disconnect while continuing to follow all local, state and federal guidance on isolating.

Grab & Go Meals:  The Wauwatosa School District WILL continue to provide free breakfast and lunch for all children 18 and under Monday-Friday during Spring Break. The next day’s breakfast would be included when you pick up lunch.  Orders can be placed here. Pick-up locations are the same as they have been at Longfellow and Whitman. If transportation is an issue, please contact Food Services at 414-773-2635 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m, Monday – Friday and we will work to arrange delivery. Visit www.wauwatosaschools.org/coronavirus for more details.

Chromebook PickUp/Exchanges: Scheduled Chromebook pickup/exchange dates for next week have been canceled Monday-Wednesday. Windows on Thursday and Friday will remain open. Please see this schedule. This is subject to change dependent on the rapidly changing health emergency.

Summer School: While we don’t know what the future holds yet for the remainder of our regular school year, the Wauwatosa School District is still committed to offering summer programming for our students at this time. Summer school registration opens on March 30, 2020, for all Wauwatosa residents and will remain open through the first day of Summer School. Learn More Here.

Video Conferencing:  While students do not need to create a Zoom account to participate in teacher/student video conferencing – which we communicated about earlier this week – there may be occasions where students need to connect with other students for educational reasons such as group projects, etc.  In these events, a student will need to create a Zoom account. Students can create their own Zoom accounts by visiting https://zoom.us and following the steps in this tutorial.

Our thoughts are with you all and hope you stay healthy and well.
